Noob Alert Video Recording Question

I've been piloting for a few weeks now and I notice there is a wave looking activity happening when I am recording. It doesn't happen all the time or at least I do not see it all the time. Is this the refresh rate and is that something you just play with? Or is it just connection issues?

Also, If everyone uses 24fps for comfortable shooting and 120fps for slow motion then what are the other ones for? So much information.

For compatibility with European TV standards, people will use 25fps, and 30fps for North American TV standards. 24fps is the standard for the film industry in almost any country.

Not sure about the "wave activity" - would a screenshot help?

The wave activity could possibly be the fps setting you're using.

Could be prop shadows too if you are flying towards the sun with the sun low on the horizon. There are a few threads about that issue here in this forum. One recent one here
