Hi guys complete Mavic newbie ,just got my air 2 my question is at low altitude or landed if the mode switch is set to sport mode the signal for obstacle avoidance is red in any other mode ie normal or tripod it's white is this correct or should it be white at all altitudes even in sport mode many thanks.

Suggest as a new Mavic owner, that 1. You leave Sport mode well alone until you are used to flying it, and 2. READ THE MANUAL

I really like having the mode switch on the controller. I usually flic it into tripod for approach and landing if I'm in a tight location.

Most accidents or flyaways are the result of the drone doing exactly what we tell it to do. Like having RTH set to LAND and not RTH like you think it is. Read the entire manual and understand it before you ever fly for the first time.

I'm not a new pilot I have plenty of experience I was just wondering if my new MA2 was faulty or not
Ok (read “newbie” and took that to mean to drones) , however my point is still valid as the operation of obstacle avoidance is covered in the manual.

Sport Mode: In Sport Mode, the aircraft uses GPS for positioning and the aircraft responses are optimized for agility and speed making it more responsive to control stick movements. The maximum flight speed is 19 m/s. Obstacle sensing is disabled in Sport mode.

Haha no worries I'm new to DJI products and upto now loving it.use to fly raptor 50 and trex 600 so a bit different.
