Flying my M2P at 200ft I got a new message (for me): "Obstacle Avoidance Temporary Error". The Obstacle avoidance in the app turned red, but the drone continued flying ok. Note: I was flying with 30mph gusts and the weather app doesn't recommend to fly... Any idea?
The only thing I can think of is that the sensors cannot work in a strong wind because the craft is not level, and therefore not pointing straight enough ahead to detect effectively (to spec).
I've flown in high winds and I got high wind warnings, but I also noticed the gimbal dipped, so the camera was no longer pointing straight ahead. I posted here about that and the consensus was that the wind was pitching the aircraft beyond the gimbals ability to 'gimbal follow'.
I wouldn't be surprised if it were the same with the optical sensor. It could have been a message put into the firmware at a date later than my high-wind incident.
