Obstacle Avoidence In Follow Mode

How small an obstacle will the drone avoid? Will it recognize an electric/telephone wire or tree branch? I want it to follow me down the road and there are several wires crossing the road. Or is it safer to just put the drone above them? Like 75 feet in the air and zoom to 4x?

Phone wires, electricity cables, guy lines, thin branches, pretty much everything you might suggest barring a brick wall has bamboozled O/A at some point or another. When it was first released, someone posted comments about the mini 4 being crash-proof, when I stopped chuckling, I sat back and waited for the inevitable YouTube video. It took less than a week for one well known drone reviewer to post a clip of the crash-proof mini 4 lurching smack-bang into a particularly bushy bush.

Caution is the best line of defence.

The short answer is 'no, it won't'. The manual is pretty specific about what it won't avoid.
