Ok more like kirigami, but you get the idea. Its two sheets of 12" x 18" x 2mm foam (black and any light color you choose) and one sheet of black 9"x12" felt. Those sizes aren't special, it's just what they had at the craft store that day. You might want to use a third sheet of foam to make it stiffer, but I didn't and I don't think you need it.
The short version is glue the foam sheets together and the felt to the black foam. Fold it around the tablet with the cover, mark it, and cut it. Then use velcro tapes to hold it together. (v2 I'm trying to eliminate straps) Mark and cut holes for the holder and cable.
Go. Rolls up or folds flat for storage.
That dark screen pic was taken at noon with the sun coming from slightly behind me. My measure of functionally "good enuf" brightness is if I can see the word "calibrate" in blue on the black safety screen.. It doesn't show very well in the picture, but I can see "calibrate" just fine.(you can just make it out on the bottom right if you zoom in, but it's much brighter in person)
I'll probably post a youtube vid at some point, but don't hold your breath.
