Maybe I should ask this on the Lightroom forum, as well.
Ok. I definitely have a mess. Lightroom is my preferred way to store my pics and vids.. But I have the Samsung gallery, the Google one, and now the both dji apps, as I've just now added the Osmo Mobile 2 to my weapons. :) all these seem to be keeping pics of each other and what not..
I really only need to have one spot to keep all these files...
Any suggestions? Should I delete these programs? How to clean them up?

I built a NAS that uses 2 large hard drives that are mirrored in a RAID 1 configuration (disk mirroring) So that everything is redundant and backed up automatically. I use the DLink DNS-321 NAS that you can fill with drives up to 4 Terrabytes (need to install Alt-F for the huge drive capacities) $80.00 on eBay - no drives -add your own

When I import any Pictures or Videos I transfer them to specific directories on the NAS that relate to what device they came from. Then when importing in Lightroom I just point it towards the directory that I want to grab items from.

If you have Lightroom I have no idea why you don't only use that to import and catalogue your files.
Lightroom from the start was designed for that exact purpose, as well as being a very fine editing tool for photos.

Mirror is not a true backup. It only protects you from HD failure, not from human error, virus or any other soft issues to the data.
Even file structure corruption will likely be replicated across the drives.

Hmm. Ok. That's what I'm hearing.. I've gone ahead and deleted some other photo apps and I'm happy. It's what I'm paying for, right?
