I’m having an issue with my bird MP focus while shooting at night it’s not capturing the footage correct blurryness through out the whole Clíp. What is the best setting to do arial video at night? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Lots of footage this evening with firework celebrations.

Looks like the shutterspeed was to low (motion blurr, not our of foucs) caused by the poor light conditions. First thing for me to try would be a higher ISO and a fixed shutterspeed (if I worked with a normal camera), combined with a low apperture.
For the future, I would spent some battery charges to try for the best settings.

I noticed the same thing tonight, I had to try several different points on the screen to find one that allowed it to focus correctly. I assumed it was because the low light and noise from high ISO made it difficult to find its focus.

I don't know if your Mavic ha the option of using "fixed focus" but that might solve the problem. Because of the wideangle, you will have (almost no) problem with depth of field. Guess it will simply be "try & error" to get to the effects you like to have.

No cameras focus well in the dark, focus on a light, good contrast object then set it to manual or just manual focus at the start.

Auto is always going to hunt, change an blur if left on auto whether thats a cheap drone or a high end dslr.

Thx you. I will try tonight. Hopefully I can fix the issue. If it were you flying , what would you set the camera setting at , for a go to point then carry on from there?

When shooting at night, change to manual focus. Then find a lit area at a distance and manually focus on that area. You should now be in the infinity area of focus which will keep everything at a distance in focus. If you try to use the slider and move it to infinity, it will not be correctly focused, the actual good focal point is about 3-4 check marks on the scale.
