No need to drain them. Just set the days to discharge to something lower than 10, 3 is often recommended, then they will discharge themselves to storage level nice and slowly. Why put the battery under more stress by getting it hot?I store mine at about 40 percent and if I don’t use them for a month I will charge them to full and drain them.

The 10 days can be changedCan't change the time. It's 10 days. And if you push the button to check the level, it resets the clock.
