PanoVolo - panorama stitching software optimized for drone photography, has released version 1.8.0.
Releases highlights:
- About 1.7 times faster 360 panorama stitching and about 2x less memory usage during the panorama rendering stage
- Added support for Specta (mini, air), Skydio and Autel drone metadata. Drone position and orientation is read from image metadata and used in the panorama stitching process. Also, drone and gimbal information for above models is now shown in 3D Map.
- More flexibility in the output image formats - JPEG or TIFF output can now be selected freely regardless of whether panorama was stitched from DNG or JPEG images.
- Added TIFF support for the input images. Panoramas can be stitched from 8- or 16-bit TIFF files
- Added a special panorama save option for social media. When selected, panorama is downscaled to max 2048 px for non-360 panoramas and to 8192x4096 px for 360 panoramas. This export mode is useful to overcome the resolution limitations that many photo sharing and social networks impose.
