I mounted a 170 gram weight on my mavic 3 pro and tested it inside.
Temperature inside was about 20 degree celcius.

I
tested it for about 3 minutes and when it had landed i felt the motors was very warm.
I could touch them but it was very close i wouldnt been able to beccause it was very hot.

Is this normal when flying with payload or should i stop?

Yes its normal:
DJI Drones are not good Cinelifters.
You can carry a payload but keep the weight down and watch the motors they WILL overheat if you arent careful. DJI states The Mavic 3 should "lift" 500 Grams BUT not for very long. I think 500 would kill the Drone. 170 should be O.K. for a Short time.

170g is not a problem. I fly with 350 all the time on Mavic 2 and 3. The motors will get hotter and flight time will be reduced. Try to locate the payloads close to center of gravity to balnce load on motors.
