Phantom w/ Night Vision?

I don't know if anyone else saw this but last night I was watching that TV show Live PD which follows cops around in real time.

At one point the cops were hunting for a fugitive in the dark....using a drone with night vision. I never saw the actual drone but the controller was clearly from a Phantom and the app was obviously DJI Go.

Anyone else see this? I had the volume turned off so I didn't hear what they were saying about the camera or it's capabilities, but it looked pretty interesting.

In theory you can use a phantom or inspire for this. the challenge would be replace the camera/gimbal. For the mavic it may be more difficult because of the size of the camera/gimbal.

My guess is that´s what was done on this drone you saw.
It might be a little expense mod btw

I believe you can get an infrared camera for the Inspire that snaps right on.
