To cut a long story short my P4 ended up in the garden pond, fully submerged.
Got it out asap but the battery had come loose.

Worked on it with the hair dryer and after about an hour, everything worked except the battery is kaput and the gps didnt work, so left it on the radiator over night and next day took it out to test with a new battery in it and it flew OK, lucky or what.

I've been an electronic tech for 40 yrs. Depends on how protected the components are from the water. Sometimes it can take a while for a failure. But only time can tell. Corrosion can take a while to grow on the foils or components. Hope you are a lucky one.

I was a two way radio tech for a few years. When we had handhelds come in after being submerged we would flush them very heavily with wd40. This gets rid of water quick. And yes, things can show up later when moisture starts to decay the tin in the component legs and solder joints. You aren’t out of the woods yet!
