I'm still no editor but what do you think? Took AEB Raw photos and used Photoshop. Just played around with the settings til I liked it. Like I said, I'm no editor lol.

Nice. I’m no editor at all ether but being I fix them for me I like making them look almost abstract if you would call it that.

Dang did you pull all that out of this sky or did you do something else?
Just saved it to pad and ran it through Snapseed.app and played with it.

The usual reply from me would be to open this in Photoshop and use the gradient tool to open the shadows in the foreground
Here is what I mean- see attached image. I did a screen grab of the 2nd image, opened it in ACR (Adobe Photoshop Camera RAW), applied the GRADIENT filter to both the top, and the bottom separately. Yea I honestly really don't know anything about editing like this. I still can't figure out how to edit parts of a picture separately. I was just happy I was able to bring out some of the colors. I was wanting to lighten up the trees a little. I have some more pictures to work with and figure out.

Hey, Amckim, where is that? I've been over the Lake of the Ozarks many time's but I've never noticed that many trees!

It's near Forest Lake in Northeast MO. I'd like to fly the Ozarks someday though.

Please refer to the attachment. In Photoshop, go to Adobe Camera RAW. (ACR). In the ACR menu, find the gradient filter. In the newer version, it is on the right side of the screen. To find the ACR filter, first go to the FILTER menu on the top. Open ACR filter. Then find the Gradient filter. With the gradient filter open, LEFT CLICK on the edge of the picture in the middle. Drag it up. You'll get a picture like this. If you drag from the middle top down, it is the same, but you will be adjusting the top of the image. For adjusting the bottom of the image, start in the middle at the edge. Left click, as I said, then drag up holding the left mouse button down. Let go near the horizon. Then you can use the ENTIRE menu on the right (as shown). I use Exposure, shadows mostly. Gradient filter in Photoshop for dark foreground.jpg

Thanks for the reply. I had recently flown over Lake of the Ozarks because we used to visit it when I was young and I love the area but it didn't look anything like that..Those tree's are dense!. Missouri is a beautiful State.
