Point of interest will not do fly by? Only orbit?

Hi everyone
I can't seem to get the flyby waypoint to work in point of interest... It will only orbit the point of interest..
I want it to stay locked on as I travel in a straight line..

There is a way to do this but without having the interface in front of me I'm not sure, however from memory I think you use the tracking feature rather than the POI, I think there is an option where it always points at the target irrespective of where you fly the drone. I hope that helps.

From what I have seen on utube waypoints is the way to do this. you can set poi, speed, height between points. May be worth checking out.

What you might be looking for is „Spotlight“ which is one of the „active Track Modes“.

Another intelligent flight Mode than can be used for something you describe is „Course Lock“. Here the AC is generally flying on a imaginary, straight line. The position on this „line“ is adjustable with the right stick. Height can be adjusted with the left Stick anyhow also
BUT
You can use Yaw to turn the orientation of yo your AC without influencing in the flightpath.
This mode is so far not yet available for Mavic 2, but for other drones
