Possible Compatibility Between Mavic 2 and Mavic?

Did anyone else spot the supposed upcoming compatibility between the Mavic 2 and Mavic?

Won't really be a benefit for most of us, but it doesn't hurt I guess.

You can send it in and have them swap out gimbals, so a Pro could become a zoom or vise versa. Would be great if user could do it.

It sounds like they will give you your drone back, but with a new camera.

I thought the swap was only for Mavic 2 and their camera line. Yes, it would be nice for to send in the Mavic Pro and upgrade to their new cameras.

Yes the swap is only for the Mavic 2 series. I don't think we'll see the Mavic 2 camera on the Mavic 1 ever.

I understand there is going to be a compatibility between the MP & MPP RC's and the M2P. For me this will be good as I can lock OcuSync to 2.4 GHz in Go 4 and use my Tytan Switch range extender. I will have to see what the exceptions are if any.
For me this will save me the expense of buying another M2P RC

I believe I read either in DJI FAQ or forum they will have updates soon that you'll be able to use the MP remote on M2. Would probably have to be occusync 1 though.

it is an option in one of the menu selections 2.4, 5.8 or either.
For me, I have the Titan Switch on one of my MPP controllers, the other is factory stock. The ability to lock in 2.4 GHz and use the Switch is fantastic bonus.
