Birds have built-in "obstacle avoidance," too, especially when flying together in flocks. They still get chewed up by fast moving jet engines, but our avoiding drones is like avoiding another bird flying at them. Never heard of a mid-air accidental bird on bird collisions. They also don't run into each other when flying erraticallyin a flock. Very similar to drones not running into each other in a drone show display, consisting of 1000 drones.This is the full horizontal video - it is interesting how they split in the first attempt.
