Practicing at RC Airfields...

So.. I live within walking distance of a small airport near my house, however, there are several Rc airfields listed within 30 minutes of my house. Is it safe to assume that I can fly and practice at these places while I study for my 107 cert?

Contact the group that runs the field and see if they'd mind you joining them. At least touch base with someone who uses the field to see what the procedures are there before hand.

What Robert said, plus you will probably need an AMA membership to fly there, if they let you. Its required at most AMA fields if you are in the USA for insurance reasons.
