Hi! Having problems using my new Smart Controller when using Active Track. When drone looses sight of target. For example if a target walks under a roof or behind a tree. The Active Track program/Smart Controller goes bonkers and is unable to function. Can’t even cancel the program without turning off the Smart Controller. Have no issues when using the phone + remote with the same drone. Issue appears therefore not to be related to the drone itself, a brand new Mavic 2 purchased as a package together with the Smart Controller. Anybody experienced something similar?

The M2 can try to predict where an object will end up when it is blocked from view, but it can only go so far. Speed of the object and it's apparent size in the view would also be a factor.

And to address OPs second issue, to exit Active Track:

Click the Active Track icon.

Then click the NORMAL mode.

Captures take from DJI MAVIC 2 PRO - ALL Intelligent Flight Modes - EXPLAINED! by Drone Supremacy.

If all else fails, just hit RTH and after it begins to execute the command, cancel RTH
