Actually, the waypoint missions provided by previous DJI apps are pretty crappy, which is why those 3rd party apps exist. The problem is, there won't be any 3rd party apps until the SDK supports this drone, which is probably at least 9 months out.

Yeah that is even worse, good point on the SDK being a factor!
There are some good ones but they appear to be limited to the more expensive drone platforms

Obviously if DJI makes available the SDK then Litchi and others will provide an app for the drone. My experience with Litchi that it's much more usable and reliable than the poorer DJI version.

For me, waypoints isn't a deal breaker, but price is. If it's too much I'll hold back and continue to use my Mavic 2 Zoom for a while longer.
