Proximity flying through forest

took a chilly flight through the forest and purposely flew really close to trees. Mavic was a little crazy because the tree cover created weak gps signal.

Very cool! Great flying, and the images look terrific. What camera settings did you use?
 
You really baby your Mavic. Was all the obstacle avoidance by the Mavic or were helping it?

Oa was off. It makes it too difficult or impossible to fly this close to things when enabled especially since mavic was literally crashing into things.
 
I agree that gps has no bearing on the connection between the controller and aircraft, but poor or intermittent gps does have an affect on the positioning of mavic and sometimes the aircraft ignores input from the rc while it is switching between vision and gps mode.

There are a couple of times in the video mavics altitude changes drastically without any input from the left stick.

I may be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure a weak GPS signal has no effect on the RC signal controlling your Mavic.
