RC N1 won't connect

My Air 2s came with the smart controller and that pairs fine. However, I just got a regular controller (RC-N1), and it won't pair. I even unbound my device and smart controller. Anyone have the answer?

You have to put it into pairing mode every time you want to fly with a different controller. Check this video:

It is for an Air 2, but the process should be the same for the Air 2S.

Check if the new remote is set to same frequency (2.4 / 5.8) as old remote to link to drone. Once linked it won’t matter.

Got it! I was plugging into the charging port on the bottom, and I did not realize there was another port under the phone holder/antenna! Thanks for trying to help. I'm flying tomorrow!

Oh yeah, I even forgot to mention this classic mistake. Yes, people who never used the RC-N1 might plug in the USB cable to the bottom port that is used only for charging.
