My Air 2s came with the smart controller and that pairs fine. However, I just got a regular controller (RC-N1), and it won't pair. I even unbound my device and smart controller. Anyone have the answer?

You have to put it into pairing mode every time you want to fly with a different controller. Check this video:My Air 2s came with the smart controller and that pairs fine. Check if the new remote is set to same frequency (2.4 / 5.8) as old remote to link to drone. Once linked it won’t matter.I tried all of that. Several times. Didn’t work.
Just plugged into assistant 2. No updatesMake sure the controller firmware is up to date.
How do I do that?Check if the new remote is set to same frequency (2.4 / 5.8) as old remote to link to drone. Once linked it won’t matter.
Oh yeah, I even forgot to mention this classic mistake. Yes, people who never used the RC-N1 might plug in the USB cable to the bottom port that is used only for charging.Got it! I was plugging into the charging port on the bottom, and I did not realize there was another port under the phone holder/antenna! Thanks for trying to help. I'm flying tomorrow!
