RC-R2 controller unable to connect to computer

Previously I could connect the RCR2 controller to my desktop and pull off the screenshot videos and cache videos. Now when I plug it in, I get a screen saying that “device is unreachable “. The controller also won’t connect to DJI assistant 2.
Starting to get frustrated with this controller. If I ever need to get the flight logs, do I need to connect to a computer? Also I like to have the screenshot recordings. The first RC controller was much easier to get into. My computer is a windows 10. Have tried several cables.

popping in here to see updates to this. I'm going to get a Mini 4 with the RC2 so I'll be curious to learn if it's a problem on my Mac. I just dumped some screenshots by connecting the controller so hopefully this will get worked out.
