I used to live in Sicily in the 80's. It was simply wonderful then, virtually no tourists. For example we went on a day trip to Selinunte and Trapani. Not a soul at either place, except for locals. We would drive up Etna to gaze at the Lava flows, nobody. You could actually park in Taormina, downtown. Places get discovered and it dilutes the experience. It would have been super cool to have this tech then. I did fly while I was there, so I have aerials, but on film. Thanks for the memories.

Not a soul in sight, in midday:

Very interesting and very well done. Great match in the score and variety of shots. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!

I viewed about 40% of the video and felt myself constantly looking for more information in the captions. It is challenging to put up a 6 minute video with only a minimum of information, such as brief histories, dates, etc. The photography was generally good, with good drone and Osmo Pocket 3 scenes and sequences, but I found that there was a lot of walking with the Osmo. Pocket 3 bobbing up and down, rather than filming with a more smoother walk to avoid the bobbing phenomenon. The music track started with country music, not consistent with the subject.

My wife and I did a similar driving trip of Sicily, after crossing over from Messina we did a cross country trip through Argento to Palermo. It is a spectacular place to visit, and the food is amazing. Even the road stops had gourmet Italian food!

Right now I am facing the same challenge, in starting to edit my video of Poland, a 2 week trip of 3 cities, including concentration camps, etc and lots of museums.

Thank you Dale for taking the time to watch and provide such detailed feedback!
I really appreciate your constructive comments. You're absolutely right - I'm not a very experienced videographer and I don't usually make videos this long, so I completely understand if it felt a bit tedious at times. I can see how the lack of detailed information, the shaky walking sequences with the Osmo Pocket 3, and even the music choices might not have been the best.
The goal of this video was simply to share the beautiful places I discovered during my trip and give others a glimpse of what Sicily has to offer. Your feedback about adding more historical context, dates, and smoother camera work is really valuable for my future projects.
It sounds like you and your wife had an amazing time in Sicily too! I confirm that the food was really incredible everywhere we go. Good luck with editing your Poland video - a 2-week trip covering 3 cities and such historically significant sites sounds like quite an undertaking to edit. I'm sure it will be much more polished than mine!
Thanks again for the honest feedback and for sharing your own travel experience.
P.S. I've Added in the YouTube video description the timestamps and locations of the places visited
