Mini 3 Roddlesworth Woods

[Paul Iddon]

Roddlesworth Woods is a real gem for walking and wildlife, one of the top dog walking spots in the area.It's a small area of woodland which lies to the west of Darwin in Lancashire. Although the wooded area is quite small, there is a lot of interest packed into the area with several paths to explore, it makes for a pleasant and usually quiet half day out. Added to this is the advantage of free and convenient parking, and a cafe and pub to relax in at the end of your walk.

For photography, autumn is the best time of the year to visit for the autumn colours and the chance of spotting some mushrooms!

A quick hello to Sam and his family, and the several other pleasant people walking there that stopped and chatted and showed a genuine interest in drones!

It was a peaceful walk, though there were a good few people around Daryll.

The fisherman told me he had caught a big 'un, but you know what fishermen's tales are like....
