RPA position on custom map

Hi everyone,

I'd like to be able to create a custom map showing, for example, property boundaries, points of interest and a flight path and then be able to see the exact location of the RPA in real-time on the map while I am flying. I don't want the flight to be automated, but just be able to see where I am.

The in-built map in the DJI Go app doesn't seem to allow me to add shapes or lines, so are there other apps out there that would allow me to do this? And could I then switch apps mid-flight to see the current location of the RPA?

Or does anyone have any other ideas how I could achieve this?

I am going to go with 'Remote Piloted Aircraft' but it is just a shot in the dark.

Sorry, yes I meant Remote Piloted Aircraft (i.e. the drone).

Ah, I've never heard it called that before.

Perhaps, you could utilize something like DroneDeploy. Powerful Drone & UAV Mapping Software | DroneDeploy

I'm not sure that it works with the Mavic, though. Might need to get a Phantom 4.
