Can you feel the lock when u pushed it in? It's difficult sometimes and you need a long nails to do it

I noticed the same problem on the Mini 3 itself. As opposed the Mini 2 where I never have this problem.

I did an online search and found a YouTube video showing what was being referred to as a "card tool" to push the card in and get it out.

One does seem to need some type of tool to both insert and remove cards in the Mini 3 and the RC. I found that a medium size slotted screwdriver tip on my Leatherman tool worked well.

The card reader on the Mini 3 is recessed a bit more inside the plastic shell, so it's more difficult to deal with. After you've inserted the card fully, push up (or down depending on which way you're holding the drone) very slightly on the outer edge of the card to help it seat into place.

I cannot insert or remove the microSD card using my fingers . Instead, I must use a small screwdriver to push it carefully inside and eject it.

This simplest way I know to fully insert or release them is use a second SD card to push the first one all the way in or to release one already inserted.

On my RC controller, I have a different issue, the card releases easily using the method above, but it is hard to get it to let go after it is halfway out. I sometimes have to use something to grab it.

To help pull out the partially ejected SD card I put some tape on the card as a tab puller. I use a sharpie to mark the sticky side of some clear tape and fold in half. Marking the inside keeps the ink from wearing off and makes the tab easy to see if a card is actually in the Mini.

The card slot on the Mini 3 is not as user friendly as in earily DJI models. SD cards on the Mini 3 are difficult to lock in and pop out. Luckily my thumbnails are a little long and help with that. Secondly, the one thing that I found odd was that you have to insert the SD card upside down. I've never encountered that with any of my other drones of devices.

Yes.....had that problem on a brand new AC. Had a hell of a time getting it to lock in. Afraid to remove it now.........I just plug the AC in now.............

Just let your thumbnail grow a bit. It doesn't have to be long. Just long enough to push the card in until it clicks in place. I think that's the best choice in case the spring springs and tries to shoot your card across the room, your hand is in place to catch it or at least minimize its trajectory.

I have an Air 2S and just use a penny.

I tend to be able to use my fingernail with the Air 2S doesn't seem quite as bad.

But at least I'd feel more secure using the tape method mentioned above on the Air 2S since you can secure it under the rubber cover that the Mini 3 Pro seems to lack.

Normally I want to keep my nails trimmed... but doing break-fix work as a merchandising specialist, it seems I need at least a tiny bit of nails in my day to day work on fixing interactive displays.

I find the SD card adapter that comes with micro SD cards is the right size to help remove/insert the card. Use it to push in just far enough for the latch to toggle.
