Every year people come out to see the spawning of the Ooligan. Ooligan are a small species of smelt that spawns in some of the major river systems along the Pacific coast of North America from northern California to Alaska. When the Ooligan are running it is a sight to see. This biodiverse event brings up river sea lions, seals, eagles ands seagulls to just name a few of the wildlife that you can spot. The Ooligan run on the Skeena River in NW British Columbia is special every year!
