Great article. I wonder how many drones are lost every year in SAR? Just look at the visibility in the picture. Ceiling is almost down to zero. Must be tough to go out and fly, and try to pick up avalanche beepers with zero vis, without flying into a mountain.

The bad avalanches is why I quit mountain riding . I was in 4 and dug out my best friend just barely in time . Very deadly and scary.
