What does this modification do? I don’t see any antennas in the photo, just something that looks like a bracket.

What would one have to do to use this and how would its performance be different?

I have the battery powered Alientech and yes it works!

I would be concerned that the battery you refer to would affect center of gravity and significantly change the flight dynamics.

I have been using one for awhile on my Mavic Pro Platinum and have had zero issues.
