Hello,

I was attempting a night hyperlapse and noticed a weird purple aura on the bottom of the frame all the way through as well as weird pixelated speckles all over the image... is there something faulty with my lens?

Here's an image:

Here's the hyperlapse:

It is not your lens. It appears to be the result of extreme low light resulting in digital noise. The blotchy spots are definitely artifacts, and the purple region seems to appear when you vector toward the sunset. Once again, both are symptomatic of high ISO and low light. As a long time sports photographer, I have had to deal with it for years. Although I don't do a lot with hyperlapse, from what I have seen, it seems to perform this way quite often under very low light.

Okay yeah, makes sense. I was actually as low as I can be for ISO at 100.. but the main thing I wanted to know was if it's a camera issue and I needed to return. I will just keep tweaking camera settings then
