Hello everyone. I'm a drone neophyte.

they gave me a red mavic air about two years ago.

only now have I made a commitment and I have opened it.

I charged the batteries of the rc and the drone.

i downloaded the go 4 app latest version.

I have turned on the mavic and the rc but I have the following problems:
1) I can't automatically configure the mavic air with the SAMSUNG S7 smartphone;

2) when I can, the rc cannot interface with the mavic air.

question: where am I wrong. can you help me please
thank you

Meybe you need to pair the RC with Aircraft, you can verify this with le red led on the RC
When correctly paired it will turn green
I suggest you to read the manual very carefully

Now about your mobile device...is it running on android 7 Nugat? If so, there is a possible problem, because Nugat is well known as a non absolutely cooperative software with go4. If it is possible, try testing with another mobile uses different android version. Best is a device using Oreo. If the pairing problem ensists, and the drone leds are continuously blinking red and yellow, I suggest you to open a ticket and send both (drone and controller) to service. But don't be rush...try pair them with patient getting sure you do this in a correct manner.
Hope this helps

One of the possibilities is that the Samsung S7 has the USB port programmed as "power only".
To verify you should enable the "developer options" (opzioni sviluppatore se hai il sistema operativo in italiano) in the SETUP menu'.
There are many tutorials that explain how to do.
Then enter the USB section and enable the USB mode to move files or images.
The second possibility is the interface cable broken.
In case, try to use the USB-C connecting cable with the adapter supplied to charge the RC.
