Another from our recent Highlands trip...

Turning off from the NC500, and passing through Midtown, Talmine and Portvasgo, and then venturing further along a quiet singletrack road your exploration is rewarded with the stunning vistas of Achininver and Midfield Beaches!

Beautiful views, quiet solitude, amazing colours - almost tropical in hue - and crystal clear water offer solace for the soul!

It was an extremely windy day when we visited, later in the afternoon at the end of August, but not overly cold, ideal weather to invigorate the senses!

So, take a few minutes and drink in the views, and perhaps one day we shall see you on the beach in the far north...

Going by your videos that you have posted, you have visited more places in Scotland than I have in my 76 years here. (A wee suggestion, try the Uists, and Benbecula). You won't be disappointed.

Thanks... My ancestry is Scots, my Maternal side from a Glaswegian Stewart grandfather, and the paternal line from the Homes of the Borders, it has always felt like home to me...

The Outer Hebrides are on my list of places still to visit, along with Shetland, Rum and Eig, and of course, there are plenty of places to revisit now we have the drones, so should keep us busy for a year or two yet...

We have been to Lewis and Harris twice both times for short stays, and the last one - when we took drones - was only a single overnight stay, I need to go back for longer...

Lol, cold yes, sooo cold that we get no big bitey things... Seals and Orca, Dolphins and Porpoise and an occasional other Whale are the largest in the water round there..
