flying in quite windy conditions and drone was wavering about so decided to drop it down behind picnic table which in my infinite wisdom would shelter from wind and make landing easier. NO...As drone was compensating as soon as it was sheltered it decides to fly backwards and, luckily, make light contact. No real damage but lesson learned.

Few would admit, but we have all learned "lessons" the hard way. Some more damaging than others. Read this forum and you will be a better pilot and save yourself from many future embarrassments..

what drone? no OA on it? what would make it fly backwards on its own? sounds like PE
