Try on the rim and the lakes there.... some great places around Springerville too

South of Hwy 60 try the basalt columns with petroglyphs along the river. On the other side of town try Long Lake area. Also some great cinder cones.

Head up to Sipes recreation area. Lots of open spaces, valleys and hillsides. Hundreds of elk, turkey, coyotes and if lucky, catch one of the mexican wolves on camera
