So I bought a daylight visible tablet (Hugerock X71E4), and at 2200 nits it is definately daylight visible. The problem is it is too thick for the tablet holder I have.

I got a nice holder from Eagle View Aerials, but it is bolted to the tablet making it a pain to just use the tablet.
So I decided to modify it. Here it is stock.

The issue is the tablet is too thick for the holders and too thick to engage the holders at the bottom of the remote.

I also wanted spring retention to hold the tablet firm.

Step 1 Heat and reform the top hook to accomodate the tablet thickness.

Step 2 Cut off the longer hook, reform it for the thicker tablet and use springs to attach it to the holder.

Step 3 Make a bracket so the holder slides into the cutout on the remote to hold it firmly. I used 1/2"x1/2" aluminum angle about 2 1/2" long and riveted it to the bottom holder.

Here is what it looks like
