I’ve not used a tablet with my Air yet but used to have a WiFi only iPad mini with my previous Quad (Phantom 3 Advanced) and either had to cache the maps before I went for a flight or just tethered it to my mobile via hotspot for data.

Im burdened with self-consciousness, as a park flyer unfortunately.

Really? What are the specs? If all the other threads on tablets are anything to go by I’d imagine it’s choppy as anything.
