This week we sail from Cooktown to Lizard Island, a short passage of 55nm. Our first upwind passage since fixing the boat though and I'm interested to see if the repaired Daggerboard will hold. We had 20-25kts all day and multiple squalls rolling through with ferocious downpours of rains each time. A huge female Humpback whale came from no-where and breached very close by, exciting for sure but a little sketchy too! We had a couple of days "holiday" at Lizard Island and thoroughly enjoyed it there. What a magnificent tropical paradise!
