Traveling to Mexico question

So I picked up a Mavic a few weeks ago which I purchased specifically for traveling. We are off to Mazatlan in Feb and am wondering what to expect at the airport (MPLS) and at the gate in Mexico.
It doesn't appear I will have any trouble once I get there but I am unsure as to what to expect during inspections.
