I have experienced this 2x times now using tripod mode. First time I was flying in the snow with obstacle avoidance system on. Mavic would have a hard time staying in a straight line when moving forward and it would go slightly up and down on altitude randomly (minor variance)

Second time was on a beach with obstacle avoidance turned off and as I approach my destination (between 2 posts) it would increase in altitude almost hitting the top of the side beam.

Anyone experiencing this in tripod mode? I have already calibrated this thing many times.

If there are wind gusts, it is going to have to counteract them. You might hardly feel it, but it will cause the Mavic to drift slightly. Enable the visual positioning system, which can help. Don't expect it to out-perform a human in tight spaces.
