Trump to sign EO as soon as next week

Unfortunately you cannot compare the last 87 years to the last 87 days. We are living in a new era. Luckily there have been people that have fought to keep the last 87 years in check by maintaining government accountability and transparency and by holding the central government feet to the fire and reminding them they work for us and not the other way around. This isn't accomplished by wishful thinking and hope and prayers but by making noise, pushing the issues, advocating and sometimes even doing activist things. The day we stop believing the government is coming for us....well, that already happened somewhat and now you see. 350 million citizens and 8 billion people all afraid of 1 guy; paralyzed.

No disrespect but in the last 87 years have you ever seen a time when your own government can send a citizen a letter in the mail and tell them to pack their bags and leave the country and don't come back else we will send you to a Somalian prison where it is impossible for you get any due process? And then for the citizen to be so afraid that he would tuck and tail and leave his family, his home, and everything he ever worked for and run and not look back? I know we all hope this will end shortly before it hits close to home because nothing last forever but that's not a strategy.
For this forum, gone are the day where anyone can claim nothing is going to happen with drones until there is an act of Congress or Congress didn't intend for it this way....sadly, those days are behind us; forever. All it takes is one incident. Believe it or not, there are more of us than there have ever been because we believe, no one is free until everyone is free.

This is funny I am going to adjust the years slightly and use this one. But this is also the entertaining and informative part of being on the forum! If we all thought and felt the same or knew what everyone was going to say, it would get boring real quick. Happy Sunday everyone from the proud owner of a new Mavic Mini 4 Pro (much thanks @Dave Pitman).
Congratulations 🎊🎈🎉🍾

Exactly and I only have 70 years of experience but agree completely.

I don't seem to be getting through to you.
Your reply has nothing to do with my post.
But I still thing that your suggestion that Registration = Confiscation is nonsense.
OMG, if he is correct that "Registration = Confiscation", then I have to get off the organ donors list or I may meet an earlier than anticipated demise! 😮

Got my M4P Creator Combo today from a friend who purchased it abroad for a mild markup, all registered with the FAA, connected to my account, etc with no issues. I just can't purchase DJI Care Refresh so use will be limited to really safe areas until then. I'll still be using my m3P Cine as my primary work horse.

Airplanes have been registered with one federal body for a little over 100 years now.
I guess that's because the government intends to confiscate them too?

That's what the NRA would like you to believe, but it's nonsense.
It is nonsense until it's not. Ask Australians about 1996-97 when they were forced to surrender an estimated 650,000 weapons. Other confiscations: Russia 1929, China 1935, Germany 1938, Cuba 1959, Cambodia 1956, England 1997, Venezuela 2012, New Zealand 2019, Canada 1991 and 2020,

You'll be fine. Please let me clarify. Registration (in the context that I am using it) is forced (not voluntary) central government (not private) registration (identifying traits such as name/DOB/photos/fingerprints/serialnumbers) accompanied by heavy fines and criminal penalties should you resist or don't comply.

Big difference between that and a voluntary organ donor waiting list which we're not calling "registration", it's just a registry but an important one; all ok on that one. Thumbswayup

That's more nonsense that the NRA would like you to believe.
I am an Australian and I can assure you that the overwhelming number of Australian owners willingly surrendered theirs for a more than fair buy-back.
The program was (and still is) very popular.
Ownership is not prohibited except for one class of weapon.

Both the Washington Post and Verge have articles but are both pay to view.
archive.ph
Got to the page of your "paywalled" article.
Copy the url.
Go to archive.ph.
Paste the url into the box and click the button.
Wait a few seconds, and boom full free article.
If the article is recently published you may have to wait a few extra seconds for the archive to archive.

Hope this helps! I've used this a million times since i learned about it.

It will be interesting to see what happens now that you know who did you know what to you know who you know where earlier today. The news is all over it. Impressive use of multiple drone swarms and smuggling them into places they should’ve never been able to access. A real-life mission impossible type of move. Unfortunately, it’ll also scare a lot of people into making some rash decisions on public drone policies for their use and accessibility.

Also, I guess this puts me IBTL of this thread, it’s getting rather hot…

NONE, let me repeat that: NONE of that info came from the NRA. Can you assure me that any Australians who didn't want to surrender their weapons were allowed to keep them? If not they were confiscated, plain and simple. And I note you totally ignored all the other countries in my post.
