Trying to use app for first time

OK. I've given up trying to figure it out for myself. I cannot get the mission to launch. Whenever I try, I get the message: "CONDITIONS NOT MET - Make sure you are connected to the aircraft and the RC is in F mode"... or something to that effect. I am flying a Mavic Air, and my research says it doesn't have an F mode. I believe it is in P mode rather than S(port) mode, or are we talking something completely different. Any help to get past this would be awesome. Thanks.

think of sport mode if it's in that or tripod mode it won't start the mission

You need to be in P Mode to launch a Mission.
