Wow, this is one very good Police Detective Series. We’re on the 2nd disc now and for anyone looking for an well acted and professionly made production, I’d say give this one a try. Set in the late 60’s in the U.K.

Thank you Felix le Chat Thumbswayup. We’re checking it out now in the Library listings! Big fan of U.K. films.

Doc Martin comes to mind as being very entertaining.
I’ve seen, actually have both versions of Life on Mars.
Cracker.
All very good.
I’m taking notes btw.
Just picked up Luther this morning afternoon. It’s gong to be a very cold weekend so I’m set. Thankfully the Libraries are free, haven’t rented a movie in more than a Decade, that’s how I paid for my drones, lol!

'Endeavour' is very good. If you find well made and well acted Brit police procedurals interesting, try all five series of 'Luther' (Idris Elba) and the film 'Welcome to The Punch' (James MacAvoy & Mark Strong).
Luther is how I got started with UK police series. Top 10 on my list.

I just loaded episode one disk one.

While watching Endeavour, start up on Morse. Original show before Endeavour. He does like his beer.
Blue LIghts is good. Poirot is habit forming. New Tricks is offbeat and funny. Shetland is a must watch. I miss Jimmy Perez

Didn’t know about Morse, Thank you.

Many suggestions I'll have to check out. Thanks!

I remember a british series called ‘threads’ back in the 80s when everyone was scared of nuclear war. This show was so much scarier than anything that came out of hollywood.

There were two of them. 'Threads' was an 80's production. The other one, banned for over 20 years was titled 'The War Game' - made by the BBC in 1965. Threads was quite restrained by comparison.
