Newbie here,,,, just took the MINI 4 PRO out for her maiden voyage at my hands and a strange screen came up that I couldn't get rid of. The drone was still within sight so I was able to land it but had it been out of sight I don't know what I would have done.
The screen said BEFORE YOU FLY in the upper left corner, just below a SEARCH window. I'm not good with computers or I would post a pic of it, sorry.
How could I have gotten back to my screen, you know, with all the data on it and the view from the camera? I don't know if I'm explaining this correctly. And this is one of the reasons I avoided buying a drone at my age, the learning curve is SSSsoooooo long !

If you can post a screen capture that will help out a bit. I'm having trouble visualizing what you are seeing.

Im guessing this is the screen you saw? This page can open when you hit the back button on your phone. If this is it, you can just hit the "GO FLY" button and it will return back to the camera view. Correct me if this isn't what your seeing.

I'll try, I think this was it.

I was afraid to hit any button since this is all new and intimidating to me. I wish there was a local class I could go take on DJI drone flying. I'm watching as much youtube as I can but nothing beats hands on with a person to ask questions to.
If anybody is near Englewood, Venice, Tampa FL ,,,,, want to tutor in trade for fishing the gulf inshore/nearshore? lol

I'm not sure if it was the screen you posted or the one I posted. I didn't have my camera with me when it happened. I tried to recreate the scenario and it gave me the screen I posted, but yours looks more like it. In other words, I'm not sure.

Given the circumstance, with the drone in the air, i think it would be closer to the one I posted, as the picture you posted is the controller before it is connected with the drone. For a test, try connecting the drone to the controller and hitting the back button while looking at the drone's camera view. It may also pop up when the drone is first connected. Very easy fix if that screen happens to appear while flying. That screen does nothing to the drone while in flight, it will simply hover in place and fly like normal just without the camera view. Hitting the "GO FLY" button will return it to the normal telemetry and camera view. Happy flying! 👍

I'm sure your choice of screen is it. You are correct that the pic I posted was with the drone off. It's scary your first time in air and you lose your camera view. I'll just hit GO FLY net time.
Thanks a million !

No problem!

Or, if you lose your camera view, press the RTH button and your drone will return home automatically and safely.
I forgot about the RTH/PAUSE button.

@FliegenKerl, you got the screen that @gleavitt513 was talking about. The drone image will be different (his showed an Air 3, yours would show a Mini 4 Pro), but it's the same DJI Fly screen.

As noted when this happens, just hit "Go Fly" to return to the video and control screen.

This "error" occurs with some regularity on the RC2 with new users. It happens when you tap the upper left corner of the screen, which is interpreted as hitting the back button on Android. It's easy to do unintentionally while holding the controller and operating the stick right there near the corner.

Once you're aware of it, you'll quickly develop the habit to avoid it.
