Testified verbatim by the replacement SS director, under oath, at today's Congressional hearing.

Anyone who's flown a drone knows this is complete ****. Neither wifi, or an internet connection are necessary to fly, record images and video.

Someone lied to the director and told him that. This mendacity in the aftermath of the assassination attempt is extraordinary. Whoever's mouth that explanation came out of must be fired.

This entire debacle makes me angry and so many should be fired.
You can see at least 2 of the acting director's answers to drones, you can hear for yourself; sounds like someone got logged out and couldn't login because they struggled with the wifi or maybe there was a forced download or update and they didn't want to bother and called it a "challenge."

Why didn't they fly that Drone? It was a Probably a DJI and if they flew it they would be in violation of the National Defense act of 2024....... c'mon ...You can say it... Why couldnt you just tell senators that They themselves made that almost Impossible. and The Governments Drone science is laughable. Cmon you can say it We are all counting on you!

When asked, under oath, the interim director stated it was an American made drone. The accuracy of that statement - I'll leave that up to your opinion.

Gather all the Drone owners in your area and ask someone to show you an American made one---Maybe a couple of them may hold one or two out if you have enough people there.
The odds that the Drone being offered to them to use was American Made are pretty small. BUT It could happen.......I guess.

It can easily be accurate.

Homeland Security, which runs the Secret Service, is rumored to be using drones from RMUS. They have their own US-built drones (like this one) and resell others made by the usual suspects

Regardless, I've never been grounded because of wifi or bandwidth issues. Why? because no such thing exists.

There may be some valid reason they 1) didn't have a drone in the air and 2) turned down an offered drone from local LE, but the reason isn't wifi.

The longer we go with no valid explanation the more it seems certain it's simply incompetence and negligence.

This is really painful.
