Valtesiniko is a mountain village in the Prefecture of Arcadia. It is built at an altitude of 1,118 meters on a slope of northern Mainalo and is one of the most mountainous settlements or more specifically higher altitudes, in Arcadia and Peloponnese.

During the Revolution of 1821 this monastery proved to be a miracle worker, protecting militants and civilians who had taken refuge there to save, but also to repel Ibrahim. Part of the Monastery was burned after this raid, but the resistance and the final repulse of the enemy were considered intervention by God.
