Video Crackle

Made a small 3 minute video today and when I play it back on my iPad it has a fair amount of crackle (noise).....what causes this?

The small sensor size, underexposure, wrong camera settings, low light. Could be any one of those, you need to post a video.

You need to view the video from the drone, and not the video stored on your phone.

Need to get a card reader....what would you guys recommend as a decent one for the 16gb card in the Mavic ?

If you don't have a reader but want the footage from the card now, you can connect the Mavic to your computer via USB and download the footage.
Any USB3 reader is fine, I use a Kingston FCR-HS3.

EDIT/ make sure you get a reader which supports SDXC, most should

I'm not so sure. The question is if that particular model supports large memory cards since it only lists a TF slot (microsd). The specs don't say anything whether it is plain SD (up to 2GB), SDHC (up to 32GB) or SDXC (64GB and up). I would recommend buying something which clearly supports all of those formats.
