Was flying yesterday and after a couple of minutes that video feed to my phone (Galaxy S8 Active) started getting really choppy...was oscillating between color and B&W, huge delay in gimbal position. At one point I also saw an RC disconnected message. That said, all of the signal meters were in the 4-5 bars position, and the drone was not even that far away. All other telemetry looked fine. I checked Air Data and It showed no errors whatsoever! So...any thoughts on what the issue may have been?

Problem? SEE ABOVE

Was unit in a crash? NO

What have you tried so far? LOOKED AT AIRDATA

What device are you using ( iphone , ipad, Samsung , etc)? Samsung Galaxy S8 active

What firmware are you running ( aircraft, remote controller)? latest MA on both

What Go app version are you using? 4.3.1.14

Any modification?
(if so what) NOPE

Did you change anything or install any apps? (if so what) NO

Do you have a video or pictures of the problem? (if so post link) NO

Sounds like interference issues. Was there anything around that might cause interference? Big metal objects LTE cell towers. Power stations. Large urban environments?

It was in the vicinity of a cell tower actually. That certainly occurred to me, but I've filmed cell towers in the past without issues. And the signal indicator was strong...

I did, and I didn't see the same behavior. That said, I'd still expect to see a poor signal no? I may go back to the same spot today and see what happens. Also might try using an iPad to see if it's device-specific.

Not nessesarly. Weak connection is different from poor connection in some cases. Check the “HD” settings and there’s a graph once you click on the view connection button that shows the interference levels.

It’s kinda like when there’s two people talking in a discussion at the same time. You can hear both of them fine but making out what one person is saying is much more difficult.

Having flown in a particular area several times without issue, is not necessarily indicative of future experiences, especially where cell towers or other types of interference are concerned.

The reason for avoiding these areas is not that you will experience interference, it’s that you may. It’s like Russian roulette... you can safely pull the trigger several times before experiencing a problem. ;)

I’m sure someone on this forum can help you narrow down the exact cause. Best of luck!
