Way points

Hello all!
On mavic pro using DJI GO 4 has anyone manage to create waypoints missions?
Mine always fails

I am not sure that the dji go 4 supports waypoint missions.

Are you talking about another software ?

Yes in dgi go 4 there is a submenu about way points recording
But every time I engaged it I get fail to record way point mission...
Is this one more on the extensive bug list of DGI ?

Do you record the waypoint is simulation mode ?

This is what i read in a couple of forum after a quick search.

no I have tried to do it in flight.
I did not know you can do it in simulation mode...
How do you proceed?

i use litchi for way point navigation

I find that once you actually get the waypoint mission recorded, it executes that mission just fine but for some reason I did remember getting errors when I was recording the waypoints. I seem to remember these were something like 'invalid waypoint'. I just kept re-creating the waypoint mission until it worked - never figured out why.

Agree, Lichi's waypoint mission is easier that DJI Go's because you can plan it on a map, with DJI Go, you actually have to visit each location, which could, I guess be a safety feature because you will have actually flown the route manually. But the worst is that the DJI Go Waypoint automatic flight mode doesn't store or execute gimbal positions, whereas Lichi does. You could, for example, plot a route around a point of interest from a low altitude to high but your gimbal pitch won't change so you end up losing the shot. It's OK, but it needs work.
