Waypoint missions using constant ground speed instead of air speed?

I'm really enjoying my MP, and have particularly enjoyed using WayPoint missions in Litchi. However, I don't like that the target speed between waypoints varies so much with wind. It seems that the "speed" between waypoints may really just be a target thrust angle. Does anyone know how a waypoint mission can be configured so that the MP will achieve a constant ground speed?

A great question. One that I have wondered myself. I have learned that disabling obstacle avoidance pre mission increased the speed but still does not guarantee the speed going against the wind. I think the answer is what you said...there is a max angle beyond which it will not go in P mode. Makes mission planning very important to avoid a power crisis on the way home.

I haven't spent a whole lot of time testing workarounds, but I have found in some cases that the MP would actually start traveling backwards, if the head wind speed was higher than the "cruising speed" of the mission. However, when I click RTH, it powers right through the wind, like it's nothing. Basically, it just doesn't seem to try achieving any particular ground speed during a waypoint mission.
