Waypoints on the fly

Hello,

I am new in this forum and new in flying drone. During my formation with a Phantom 4 I remember very well we could mark waypoints as we were flying the drone with a dedicated button on the remote controller.
I can't find this anymore on my new Mavic 2 Pro. Waypoints missions before flying is great (especially with Litchi) BUT as I will do Real Estate work, I was hoping to set waypoints on location and than fly the mission
while concentrating on my camera work (gimbal, yaw). On those locations, it is difficult to set waypoints with Satellite view being to small. Is the feature of marking waypoints on the fly not present anymore and if so, WHY not?

Did you buy the standard controller, or the Smart Controller? Big difference.

I have seen youtube videos that say you can but have never seen it demonstrated because I was trying to lean to set them previous to going out. Now these videos were for the GO4 app not Litchi. I would search youtube for manually setting waypoints for the app and drone you are going to use. There should be something out there. I don't really see where the type of controller should make a difference but it might.

I don’t find any information on the internet or YouTube on how to set manual waypoints on the fly with the Mavic 2 Pro/DJI4app (and standard RC). I suppose they cancelled it. A shame while being so useful on small missions (real estate). Being able to yaw (panning) while the drone keeps a straight line (close to the house for instance) is almost a standard shot in all real estate video.

I had this same question, but then found the answer: you press the C1 button while in Waypoint mode. Regardless of what function you have assigned to this button, when in Waypoint mode, that mode overrides your setting and C1 is always used to add a waypoint.
